Tallington Lakes offer a total of 5 lakes for wakeboarding,
water skiing, tube riding and knee boarding. There is a large fleet
of canoes and kayaks available for rental and lessons .An off road
kart track for 16 years and over is on site , together with a dry
ski and snowboarding slope.
The Nene Valley Railway is famous for its Thomas The Tank
Engine but has many other trains on it line.
Burghley House Stately Home with its wonderful gardens and
grounds is just down the road on the outskirts of the beautiful
market town of Stamford with the old coaching inn, the George Hotel,
which holds a Shakespeare Season in the summer.
Sacrewell Farm and Country Park is a great family place to visit
and is close to the famous hotel, The Haycock, at Wansford.
Hamerton Zoo Park has tigers, donkeys, cheetahs, owls and
wallabies amongst the fascinating animals bound to enthral children
of all ages. Our farm shop is in Old Weston, the next village to
Hamerton, so why not come and visit us at the same time. |

Shopaholics amongst you have a wide choice of places to go,
ranging from the modern Queensgate Shopping Centre in Peterborough
to the quaint old town of Stamford with its little alleyways and
cobbled streets.
The famous city of Cambridge is just an hour away and amongst
the attractions of the University Buildings also has the renowned
Arts Theatre. Just outside Cambridge is the Duxford Imperial War
Museum housing many aircraft and the National Trust property,
Wimpole House and Farm.
The pretty county of Rutland is just a few miles away where
you can visit Rutland Water, the Barnsdale Gardens and the
interesting historical towns of Oakham and Uppingham. |

The East of England Showground between
Peterborough and the A1 holds many events throughout the year
including the Shire Horse Show and The Country Fair

Peterborough has many places to keep you occupied including a
Greyhound Racing Stadium, Indoor Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre,
Ice Skating Rink, Ten Pin Bowling, Laser Force, Karting Track and
Railworld. There is also a museum, cinema and the Key Theatre.
You can even take a day trip to the walled city of York with its
Minster, Jorvik Centre and quaint old buildings, by train from
Peterborough
